Lily Topiary

This painting, done on watercolor paper, was a springboard for a line of giftware that I designed. The actual line looks nothing like this, but a few elements made it in. I had fun painting this because I was experimenting with bringing a few different styles together. The background wording was actually inspired by lyrics from a song by the Christian rock band Creed. I changed it quite a lot to fit my own purposes in the piece, and morphed it into passages from the Bible, but I love that no one ever figured out what I had done. Now the secret is out.
